Breakfast Nook Table

This island was a team effort, as we and the client had a GREAT time offering "what if we" and "how about if we" and what do you think about" all of the options that would make this breakfast nook perfect. We kept the live edge oak top as the star, and countered it with double reclaimed pine shelves sized to fit stools across. Notice the 4-bottle beam holder on granite, too--credit goes to our client, as he suggested we tip the beam on its side--love it!

Slab Pine Island

Talk about a keepsake--we were thrilled to meet with this newly-married couple to design and create this custom island. Starting in our showroom, we came up with ideas of what they'd like; moving on to our slab warehouse and kiln, the couple walked back and forth and zeroed in on some stellar pine slabs; then, back to our showroom to finalize details, and boom! A few weeks later, they are coming this weekend to pick this beauty up and deliver it to its new home--theirs!

Spruce Kitchen Island

Kitchens are the heart of the home, and this custom kitchen island keeps everyone in the conversation while adding history and up-to-the-minute style. This spruce was sourced just a couple miles from us, with the blend of stains really emphasizing the unique graining. Adding two shelves made of 60+ year-old pine ups the functionality with flair. This island will highlight the beautiful new home the clients are building. See it in our showroom until then!

Barn Beam Island/Bar

Honest and strong, like a handshake you never forget--that's the vibe of these 1920's barn beams that make up the top of this island/bar. So many uses to store and serve in style: kitchen island filled with pots/pans, mixing bowls, and cookbooks; bar cart with glasses, bottles, and snack storage; and pretty darn perfect for game night! We poured an epoxy coat over the top, just like commercial bar tops, with double shelves on one side and room for two stools to tuck in on the other. Plus it's portable, as the casters allow you to roll it wherever you need it.

Kitchen Island

Upon delivering this custom kitchen island, the client said: "I just want to bake cookies!" An expansive six feet long, this island was created to fit between two banks of cabinets, with ample room on all sides. Barn wood from a 1931 threshing floor makes up the top while the double shelves are oak from a board and batten sunroom built in the '60's, adding a sense of history to this newly-built home. Complete with a bottle opener and an iron pipe towel bar, it's ready for day-to-day and family gatherings.
